Linda G. Weghorst’s Artist Statement
In the words of Rod Stewart, “Every picture tells a story, doesn’t it?”. In my art “Every textile tells a story” of people and places I have experienced. Pieces are characterized by figurative and stylized representation. A plethora of techniques is used to illustrate concepts. The challenge is to tell a story through the objects I make. A story may be mine, but once seen, it becomes the viewers to consider, reflect upon or make their own.
