ATA organizes and hosts a variety of artist talks throughout the year. Most of them are free and open to the public. The talks feature contemporary artists who specialize in tapestry weaving as well as those working to expand the field by incorporating other processes and tools such as a TC2 loom, ancestral or indigenous techniques within their cultural heritage, or even beyond, using non-traditional materials and approaches but incorporating a fiber-centric way of working. The Ambassador talk is given in the spring (usually March, kicking off Tapestry Week) and in the fall. Join the mailing list to learn more about our upcoming events! The Speakers program hosted artists working within the field of fiber, but outside tapestry specifically. It is currently on hiatus.
