The ATA website will soon host online exhibitions!  Guidelines will be available for curators who wish to organize tapestry exhibitions for this new online venue. Look for more information in the next newsletter.

In an effort to provide more opportunities for the membership, Priscilla Lynch, our Education Chair, is launching a Mentoring Program which you will read about. This program will link intermediate weavers with experts to refine skills and develop new techniques. You will find an article about this exciting new program in this newsletter. If you want to get involved as a mentor or as a student please contact her. plynch@iserv.net

Reminders

If you have plans to lecture on tapestry this year or would like to include slides as part of your presentation do not forget that American Tapestry Alliance maintains a slide collection which can be rented out for a nominal sum. Joyce Hayes manages the slide archives and can give you more information. joyce.hayes@attbi.com

We would like to gently remind you that ATA is staffed by many volunteers who work hard and give up some of their precious tapestry time to the organization. We have lots of ideas and always need helping hands and heads to achieve our goals.

These are exciting times for ATA.  Even as military forces gather in the Mideast and the world economy falters, it is infinitely more satisfying to think of what lies ahead for the membership.
