Sarah Swett's Statement
When it comes down to it, there is no point in weaving anything unless you are pretty darned attracted to both the subject and the shapes that you are weaving. There are too many ideas and too little time.
What I love are the undulating hills where I live --endless, sensual and covered with peas, lentils, wheat and barley, they look like multicolor nudes snoozing over the earth; also reflection, cloth, water, glass and stories. These then, are what I weave -- myself, my husband, my friends, fabric, wine, transparency, light, shadow and places where I can skinny dip.
