Bobbi Chamberlain's Statement
Most of my tapestries are designed from photos I take when I travel. My early tapestries were primarily of landscapes and flowers. As I have become more involved with photography I have developed an interest in more abstract images and have enjoyed using these images in my tapestry designs. “Patterns From the Past” resulted from a photo of a kitchen wall in a very old house; the wallpaper had long since peeled off, leaving interesting patterns from the dried glue. I designed “Black Hole” from a photo of a rusty can in a boat yard.
